Assistant Professor of Russian

Brigham Young University - Provo, UT

This is a full-time, tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor of Russian with a research interest in Russian language, literature, culture or linguistics. The ability and willingness to teach all levels of Russian language are required, and a strong background in language teaching methodology and a focus on proficiency are desirable.

Candidates must demonstrate evidence of an active research agenda, teaching excellence and native or near-native fluency in Russian. The PhD degree must be in hand by the start of the appointment in fall 2015.
