Instructor or Assistant Professor of Russian Area Studies and German Studies

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, has a Full-Time, Instructor or Assistant Professor of Russian Area Studies and German Studies position beginning August 22, 2016 and ending May 21, 2017.

Position currently entails teaching Russian and German courses and also requires professional/university service. Current teaching load is 3/3.

Required qualifications:

a) M.A. in Russian and/or German or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent by June 1, 2016;
b) evidence of strong teaching;
c) minimum of two years teaching experience (including Russian and/or German language) at the college level (TA experience acceptable);
d) native or near-native command of both German and Russian;
e) strong written communication skills.
