Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Russian Studies at Vassar College invites applications for a three-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor beginning fall semester 2016.

Candidates with completed PhDs will have priority; ABDs nearing dissertation defense will be considered. Primary duties include teaching Russian language, with a possibility to offer courses in literature or culture. A strong record in teaching language at the undergraduate level is essential, as is willingness to make vigorous contributions to the rich co-curricular program of the department. The position is full-time, with benefits and а competitive salary. Teaching load is five courses per year.
