Adjunct Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor in Russian

The Department of German and Russian Studies at the College of Charleston invites applications for a one-year full-time adjunct lecturer or adjunct assistant professor in Russian, starting August 16, 2019. The position is benefits-eligible, the salary is competitive, and the teaching load is 4/4.

We are seeking a dynamic instructor who is able to teach Russian language at all undergraduate levels, in combination with courses in English translation. Expertise in film, cultural studies and/or contemporary Russia would be particularly welcome. Native or near-native command of Russian and English is required. Preferred candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Russian Studies or a related area (ABD acceptable). MA with college teaching experience considered. Title will depend on level of credentials.
