Assistant Professor of Russian Culture (tenure-track)

The Department of German, Russian and East European Studies at Vanderbilt University invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in Russian Culture to join our expanding interdisciplinary department, starting fall semester 2018. Ph.D. in hand no later than August 16, 2018.

Candidates are expected to show strong dedication to research in more than one mode of inquiry that will result in a substantial publication record. This faculty member will participate in the undergraduate program on all levels of instruction, including the language program.

The successful candidate must also be prepared to contribute to one of the many vibrant interdisciplinary initiatives at Vanderbilt, which include but are not limited to media and visual arts, law and society, digital humanities, and religious studies.
