Director of the Slovak Studies Program (Lecturer)

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for the position of Director of the Slovak Studies Program, pending budgetary approval. The appointment will be made
at the rank of Lecturer and will begin on September 1, 2022. Duties include: (i) teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced Slovak language, as well as Slovak or Slovak-comparative literature and culture in English at the undergraduate level; (ii) non-teaching duties include
oversight of Slovak cultural and outreach activities in accordance with programming goals identified by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures; (iii) scholarly publication and active participation in
national professional associations is encouraged but is not a prerequisite for appointment or renewal.
