Lecturer in Russian

Boston University’s Department of Modern Languages & Comparative Literature invites applications for a renewable full-time lecturer in Russian beginning July 1, 2016.

Responsibilities will include serving as Head of BU’s Russian Language program, with the responsibility for expanding our curriculum; attracting new students; teaching all levels of Russian language and collaborating with faculty in other languages and in related fields across campus.

Requirements include an MA (at minimum); native or near-native command of Russian and English; commitment to a proficiency-based communicative curriculum; demonstrated excellence in college-level Russian language teaching; leadership and administrative ability; familiarity with the North American higher education system; and experience using technology in the language classroom.
