One-year Visiting Instructor or Lecturer of Russian

University of Oklahoma - Norman, OK

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a full-time, one-year position in Russian for the 2015-16 academic year. Start date is August 16, 2015 (arrival in Norman, Oklahoma by August 2) through May 15, 2016.

Duties include teaching three courses per semester in Russian Language and Literature, coordinating the Russian tutoring program in the Language Learning Center, and participating in and organizing activities for the Russian Language Program.

Requirements:
MA in Russian language and literature, Pedagogy, Foreign Language Pedagogy, Second Language Acquisition or a related field;
experience teaching Russian language to English-speaking students at the college level;
native or near-native fluency in Russian;
and excellent command of English.
PhD in a relevant discipline preferred.
