Slavic Studies in the Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks qualified applicants for the position of Polish Lecturer.
Candidates with a PhD or equivalent in Slavic or Second Language Acquisition in hand at the time of application preferred; PhD or equivalent in hand by the start of the appointment (August 17, 2020) required.
Experience teaching Polish is required, as is a one-year minimum of teaching experience at a college or university in the US or Canada. Ability to teach Polish culture courses in both Polish and English is desirable. Native or near-native proficiency in Polish and English is required.
The successful applicant will teach a maximum of six courses per year in Polish. The position is full-time (nine-month contract) and ongoing/renewable.
