Russian Lecturer

The University of Georgia is seeking a Russian Lecturer to teach in the newly established Russian Flagship Program sponsored by the National Security Education Program.

Lecturer will teach a full-time load of intensive Russian language courses at all levels, including small-group tutoring. Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Flagship Program Directors with development of curriculum, online materials, summer course materials, and new courses on professional Russian, as well as administering proficiency assessments for all language modalities.

Ph.D. in Russian/Slavic Studies; second language acquisition; language pedagogy; or closely related field is required, as well as a record of proven excellence in teaching the Russian language.

Job closing date for the position is November 1, 2018, with the start date of January 1, 2019.
