Visiting Assistant Professor in Russian Language and Literature 2021-2022

The Department of German and Russian at Colby College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Russian Language and Literature for the academic year 2021-2022, to begin July 1, 2021. This is a four-course teaching load position (two courses in the fall and two in the spring). Applicants must hold a Ph.D. by the date of appointment and have native or near-native fluency in Russian and English.

While the specialization is open, preference will be given to scholars of the 19th century who are able to contribute relevant and innovative research to the Russian curriculum. The successful candidate should also have extensive teaching experience at all levels of the language sequence.
