Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian Studies, 3-year term

The College of Wooster invites applications for a three-year, visiting assistant professor position in Russian Studies, beginning Fall 2022. The successful candidate will have demonstrated training and experience in teaching and scholarship in Russian Studies. The successful candidate is expected to add depth and breadth to the program in Russian Studies and the college’s offerings in diverse traditions, viewpoints, and experiences. Expectation to participate in and offer courses for the college’s language requirement and the Russian Studies minor and major. Candidates who can contribute courses to one or more interdisciplinary programs at the College of Wooster (e.g., Film Studies, the new program in Global Media Studies, Global and International Studies, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Environmental studies) are encouraged to apply. Ph.D. and native or near-native fluency in Russian and English required. The teaching load is 6 courses per year, which includes advising of junior and senior major theses.
