Visiting Lecturer, Russian Language and Literature

The Department of Germanic, Russian, and East European Languages and Literatures at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick, NJ) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track one-year position as a Visiting Lecturer in the Russian and East European Program, effective September 1, 2019.

We seek a vibrant instructor to teach first-year Russian language, as well as undergraduate literature and culture courses, including those on Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. Teaching load is 3:3. The appointed Lecturer is expected to participate in the life of the program, help organize student events, and advise students. Ph.D. in Russian or a closely related field strongly preferred, although candidates who are ABD may be considered. Native or near-native fluency in Russian and English, and evidence of successful teaching experience, required.
