Assistant Professor of Russian, Tenure Track

The Department of Russian at Dartmouth College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Russian beginning in Fall 2019. We are seeking a teacher-scholar with an innovative research agenda and dedication to the undergraduate teaching of Russian language, literature, and culture.

Applicants must have a Ph. D., a native or near-native command of Russian and English, and an ability to teach language at all levels. In addition to specialized courses, the successful candidate will also teach a broad range of courses in Russian literature and culture and have the opportunity to lead our summer language program in St. Petersburg. While the area of specialization is open, candidates with expertise in post-Soviet and contemporary Russian culture, media, cross-cultural studies, or the non-Russian regions of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe are particularly welcome.
